Full Fibre Broadband on the Estate
Date: 09/10/25
Once Internet Providers are informed Fibre is available to our area, residents will need to sign up with their chosen provider. This will require a “Direct In-ground Survey”conducted by a contractor (or possibly OR). This closer inspection of individual properties may indicate suitable ducts are already in place. If not, further works will be required to take Fibre to the house. Again, this will be undertaken by contractors at OR’s expense. The cost of provision into the house is down to the resident (or provider if negotiated).
Not all properties will be close to an existing track from the BT box. If they are, the connection can easily be made. If not, the track will have tobe extended from the box to the house. In all cases (except those in The Drive west of Queensway & Martineau Close) the ducting will need to cross CPEL verges to get to the property. CPELwill be required to give permission before works commence–see links below.
Any residents that are planning a new driveway or path should let a Committee member know& OR may provide suitable ducting for the builders to use.
